Pack 36 Highlights
Pack 36 is an active Cub Scout group. There
are approximately 50 Cub Scouts and 12 adult volunteer leaders. Most Dens meet
at St. Marks UMC. Again this year we received Quality Unit status. Great
work Cubs and Leaders. Pack 36 is involved in many Scouting and
community activities. The following briefly recaps some of the activities of the
Pack. In an effort to keep Pack 36 moving forward leaders and committee members
meet once a month.

-
Christmas Parade:
An annual activity of Pack 36. This year on Sunday afternoon before
the parade a group of Cubs, parents and leaders meet to decorate the truck
and trailer we used. There were approximately 30 Cubs, parents and
leaders who braved the cold to ride and march in the parade. The Christmas
parade is one way we show Scouting Pride to the community.

-
Christmas Party:
This our December pack meeting. Besides having a great time, all the
den come together for our Do A Good Turn Project. This year as in the
past we came together a provided clothes, food, heaters, toys and other items
needed by families in our area. Each den participates in an
individual Do A Good Turn Project as well.

-
Blue and Gold
Banquet: This years Blue and Gold was one
of the best ever! Thank you Jo Ann. As always the Blue and Gold is one of
the highlights of the year. There were approximately 135 people in
attendance. This year as in the past the Pack supplied the meat
(Chicken Tenders) and bread for the meal with the rest of meal divided among
the Dens. Den 8- Paper Products ( Plates, Napkins, Hot and Cold drink Cups
and utensils). Den 7 - Desserts, Den 6 - Salads and Casseroles, Den 3-
Vegetables and Den 5 Drinks (Tea and Coffee).
Awards and Recognitions:
We had one Wolf and one Bear to receive their badge. 5 Webelos received
their badge. There we 6 Arrow of Light recipients this year. The Webelos
crossed the Bridge to Scouting with the Scoutmasters from Troop 100
participating in the ceremony. The
Program: Several of our dens presented skits to
the enjoyment of all. This years speaker was Neil Reinwald our
Bear Den Leader. Neil has a long history in Scouting and used it to
bring us a great speech. Thanks Neil. This year we were privileged to have the
Order of the Arrow Dance team to perform for us. The team treated the
Scouts and guests with traditional Native American dance.
The sad note this year was that our Cubmaster said this would be her last Blue
and Gold. If it is she definitely saved the best for last.
Thanks for all you have done for Pack 36 the past several years. We will
miss you.
